Parking

You may park in any lot on campus; permit parking is not enforced during the summer semester, except for spots labeled accessible or reserved. Again, please view the above map to determine which parking lot will work best for you. No lot should be more than an 8-minute walk to the venue.

General Registration, On-Site Registration & Agenda

Registration begins at 9:30am on Monday, 7:30am on Tuesday, and 8:30am on Wednesday. You do NOT need to print your Eventbrite ticket; we will have a sign-in sheet indicating your registration. If you are unsure how much of the training you have signed up for, please view this roster– a red box means that you did not sign up for that particular day. Please note that since we added a third day (Monday) to this training on March 1st, many of your tickets have been displaying incorrectly in the system. If you feel that there is an error or would like to add additional days before Monday, please communicate with me directly (kirat@indianacesa.org). Law enforcement and UIndy employees all receive complimentary registrations, so please note all three days will have green boxes if you fall into either of these categories, even if you do not plan to attend the full training.

On-Site Registration will be available each day for those who are interested in adding additional days or in registering for the first time. The registration rate will remain $20 per day. Please share this information with your colleagues. We will accept payment through credit card, cash, or check.

Please find the complete agenda attached.

Continuing Education

Please note – the ONLY continuing education credits that will be provided are 19.5 Law Enforcement Training Hours. If you are an attorney who wishes to apply for CLE accreditation on your own after the training, I would be more than happy to assist you with that process. Behavioral Health CEUs and Nursing Contact Hours were unfortunately not approved in time for the training (as of this morning). If you wish to cancel your registration due to the absence of these opportunities, please let me know and I will be happy to refund your ticket in full.  I apologize for any inconvenience.

Meals

In order to keep the cost of this training low, we are not providing coffee/breakfast/lunch. There will be a one-hour break for lunch on your own each day. The only on-campus dining option that will be open is The Marketplace. This buffet is cash only and will be open 8:00-9:30 for breakfast/coffee and 11:30-1:30 for lunch in the Schwitzer Student Center. There are also several fast food/quick bite restaurants at a short driving distance. Please make your lunch plans accordingly as we will begin promptly after lunch each day.

Other

Since this is an auditorium space without desks, we will be handing out clipboards, notepads, and pens for those of you interested in taking notes. Our notepads are about half the size of typical legal pads, so you are more than welcome to bring your own as well. PowerPoints will NOT be given out before presentations (at the request of our presenters), and only Andrew Pari will be sharing his materials with you electronically once the training ends.

Our first session on Monday will be interactive; we will be using PollEverywhere. Please download the PollEverywhere app on your phone or computer, or be ready to visit PollEv.com/mahriirvine949 to participate in our activities.

Hotels

If you are in need of a last-minute hotel reservation, please note that ICESA has set up a room block at a rate of $114/night (plus $18 for parking) at the Holiday Inn Express Downtown Indianapolis. It is about a 10-minute drive from our training, but is conveniently located in downtown Indianapolis. You may make reservations by calling the hotel directly at (317) 822-6400 and asking for the INCESA block.
