We are at a turning point in the work to end sexual assault and human trafficking and this conference will help us move forward as change makers in an innovative, progressive, culturally diverse, trauma informed, and survivor-centered way.

This valuable learning and networking opportunity is open to advocates, social workers, therapists, law enforcement, legal professionals, sexual assault nurse examiners, campus professionals, researchers, graduate students, undergraduate students, and members of the public interested in learning more about sexual assault prevention and response efforts. This high-quality, two-day event will feature nationally recognized keynote speakers Dr. Gail Stern and Dr. Karen Countryman-Roswurm.

Dr. Gail Stern is the co-founder of Catharsis Productions, co-author of the non-stranger rape prevention program Sex Signals, and author of the programs, Beat the Blame Game, and Teaching Rape as a Moral Issue. She has been a SME for the White House and each branch of the Armed Forces on the issues related to sexual violence prevention.

Dr. Karen Countryman-Roswurm has more than two decades of personal, professional practice, and community-based research expertise in the Anti-Trafficking Movement. Dr. Countryman-Roswurm has served locally, regionally, nationally, and internationally as a street outreach worker, project coordinator for gender-specific programming, therapist, community response organizer, human rights advocate, and public policy developer.
