Alexandria Benifield currently serves as Evaluation Specialist with ICESA. She is a recent graduate of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai where she earned her Master of Public Health, specializing in Global Health. Prior to her graduate studies, Alexandria earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University, where she majored in Social Policy, and received a minor in Global Health and a Certificate in Civic Engagement. While pursuing her graduate studies in New York City, she interned with the National Black Leadership Commission on AIDS, Inc. where she conducted a policy overlay of Governor Cuomo’s Blueprint to End AIDS alongside the 30 for 30 Women’s Working Group initiatives. She also evaluated outreach initiatives that assessed general attitudes towards Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP). Her interests include expanding her understanding of the public health implications of structural violence and asset-based community development.
