At Marian University, our vision is to provide an education that profoundly transforms lives, society, and the world. Our mission is to be a Catholic university dedicated to excellent teaching and learning in the Franciscan and liberal arts traditions. We welcome students of all faiths who seek an educational experience framed within the context of our Franciscan values of dignity of the individual, peace and justice, reconciliation, and responsible stewardship. Our understanding of these values is informed by reflection on the life of Jesus Christ and prayer.
Campus Liason: Keirsten Roath, MSW, LCSW
Hello to all – I have been a therapist in the Counseling & Consultation Services office at Marian University for five years. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a Masters of Social Work (MSW) degree from Indiana University. At Marian, I work with undergraduate, graduate and medical students who may be struggling with a wide array of issues from adjustment to college to significant mental health symptoms to relationship conflicts to sexual assault. I provide crisis intervention, short and longer term therapy depending on the needs of the students. I highly value collaboration whenever possible in both direct service to our students and in outreach, prevention and education efforts. I am excited about the chance to be involved with ICESA in part for the excellent collaboration opportunities. In addition to my work at Marian, I have a private therapy practice in Plainfield where I specialize in couples work, women’s issues, mediation and divorce adjustment.
